Trippingly Hamlet and All the World's a Stage...
Trippingly Hamlet and All the World’s a Stage…, the 2010 Education Tour productions, will create, in 50 minutes, the world of Shakespeare and his greatest play in a format accessible to all ages. The Tour begins travelling February 23 and will tour the area until May 21. The actors have been cast, the set is being built, and rehearsals begin in February. Our cast has both new and returning members: Michael B. Perkins returns for his fourth Tour, Khnemu Menu-Ra for his second, and Anna Blair for her fourth as well; her third as Stage Manager. New this year are Elana Kepner, Daniel John Kelly and Megan Cone. Bringing Hamlet to so many schools and community venues is a full-time job for these professional thespians, who devote 20 weeks or more of the year to the Festival Tour.
Our Friends and the general public will have several chances to see the Education Tour – please watch our Gateway to Shakespeare page for announcements of places and dates. For all of you who have enjoyed the mini-play in the park each year, we encourage you to take the opportunity to see the full 50-minute production. You’ll find that you enjoy it just as much as your kids do when they see it at school!
Speaking of school, if you would like to ensure that your children get the opportunity to see Trippingly Hamlet or All the World’s a Stage…, please contact us at 314-531-9800 x101 to get information and help schedule a performance.
After the Tour is finished, Trippingly Hamlet will be stripped down to become the 20-minute mini-play during the Green Show this spring.
