Make Your Reservation! Shakespeare Festival 2010 Gala

Shakespeare Festival St. Louis invites you to an alluring and energetic evening at The Tempest Ball, which will celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Shakespeare Festival and Shakespeare’s birthday. The night will be filled with elements of surprise based on live theatre that will be woven through the event in unexpected ways.
We will be honoring the founder of the Shakespeare Festival, Crosby Kemper III; Founding Board Chair, Marvin Moskowitz; Founding Managing Director, Lana Pepper; and the Founding Board.
You will also have an opportunity to meet our new Executive Director Rick Dildine. The festivities take place at the Palladium on Friday, April 23, 2010. This is sure to be a night to remember with a contemporary take on classic Shakespeare.
The back-drop will be the stunningly rehabbed Palladium, which was formerly part of the City Hospital complex, and is located at Park Avenue and Park Place. The venue lends itself to provide a one-of-a-kind experience with expansive views of downtown St. Louis. Guests will sip cocktails, enjoy a seated dinner, and theatrics will abound.
Proceeds from The Tempest Ball will benefit the artistic and education programs of the Shakespeare Festival. Over the past nine years, the Shakespeare Festival has brought more than 386,000 people together in Forest Park to experience the magic and majesty of Shakespeare’s works. The year-round education programs have served 168,000 students in the bi-state region with the Education Touring Plays visiting over 120 schools and community venues annually.
